Cheryl
Lynn isn't quite sure who she is, but
she's pretty sure of what she wants to be. A warrior woman. A
bad-ass mamajama.
Perhaps an earth goddess extraordinaire. She spends her days
abusing keyboards
and screaming at computer screens while she waits for her
cult following
to finally show up.
She changes her mind more often than extras in rap videos change thongs.

Mainstream musings. Part II.
This is going to seem silly.

This disappointed me so very much. Not Colleen, Danny, Luke and Misty being together. That would be like being disappointed in sunshine. But Misty's hair. The last woman with a natural in mainstream comics is gone. And to be honest? That makes Misty a lot less cool to me.
I liked the fact that Misty was a character who was secure enough and loved herself enough that she wasn't going to dump a vat of caustic lye on her head or risk scarring herself with hot metal in order to look acceptable. Not only was she going to wear an Afro, but it was going to be huge and in your face, and you would just have to deal. Because Ms. Knight wouldn't be changing herself for nobody, dig?
She made black features beautiful. And Storm, even with her being the first black superheroine, could not do that. Not with blue eyes and straight, platinum blonde locks.
Though I suppose straight hair is a hell of a lot easier to draw. Doesn't send the same message though.
