Cheryl
Lynn isn't quite sure who she is, but
she's pretty sure of what she wants to be. A warrior woman. A
bad-ass mamajama.
Perhaps an earth goddess extraordinaire. She spends her days
abusing keyboards
and screaming at computer screens while she waits for her
cult following
to finally show up.
She changes her mind more often than extras in rap videos change thongs.

MoCCA Monday, August 27th - The Changing Image of Black Women in Comics and Graphic Novels
A historical summary of how the image of Black women have been portrayed in comic strips, comic books and graphic novels since the turn of the last century up to the present day (1899s- 2007). It traces their change from a series of unflattering and unattractive stereotypes to the wide variety of strong and powerful 3-dimensional human beings created today. This MoCCA Monday will be presented by Professor William Foster III, the guest curator of our current Looking for a Face Like Mine exhibit, which celebrates the roles of African American as both characters and creators in comic and cartoon art.
Nooooo! I totally want to be there to hear Professor Foster speak! This is the complete and utter height of unfairness. If someone could record this for me I would love that person forever and ever.
